DAF enhances the Sustainable Livelihoods – Resilient & Inclusive Communities through fostering participation, inclusion and socio-economic empowerment. Our Sustainable Livelihoods programs give high importance to supporting the formation of PWD’s groups that initiate and manage small enterprises and micro-financing schemes. These promote self-reliance and create savings that have benefit for the PWDs, their families and the whole community. We also encourage innovative ways which can initiate livelihood and micro financing activities within the constraints of Somalia life. DAF empowers and supports people to utilize their capacities and natural resourcefulness in ways that are relevant to their circumstances and context. Primary dimensions of this work are food security, income generating initiatives, micro-financing and credit schemes, and livestock care and restocking.
